The Hearth Residency

The Hearth Residency, a new year-long residency program designed to support one emerging South Australian artist or company navigating the critical transition between emerging practice and long-term professional sustainability.

Running from August to August, The Hearth Residency responds to a growing challenge facing independent artists and the increasing difficulty of sustaining creative practice beyond early emergence.

At its centre, The Hearth is about nurturing the artist behind the work. The Hearth provides a full 12 months of sustained engagement, recognising that artistic careers are not built through isolated moments, but through time, trust, relationships and continuity of support.

The Hearth Residency is part of the Adelaide Fringe Arts Industry Collaborations and generously co-funded by the James and Diana Ramsay Foundation and the Adelaide Fringe Foundation.
