ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE

Deus Ex Famina: Katherine Sortini

Fortune Favours the Bold

The audentes fortuna iuvat (fortune favours the bold) residency is proudly supported by Goodwood Theatre & Studios, a vibrant, inclusive arts space that has championed independent theatre makers for over four years. GTS has become a vital hub for creativity in South Australia, offering versatile facilities that nurture community engagement, artistic experimentation, and bold new work.

In 2025, Deus Ex Femina is honoured to be the GTS Resident Company under this program. The generous in-kind support from GTS totals over $12,000, including rehearsal and performance space, technical equipment, staffing, and hospitality services - an extraordinary commitment to the sustainability of independent arts.

This partnership reflects a shared dedication to authentic storytelling, innovation, and community connection.
We are especially grateful to Simi and Chris, whose leadership and generosity have made it possible for this residency to happen.

Hart Street Art: Aggie Stav

Visual Artist In Residence

Aggie has been awarded a three-year residency with us as she gears up for her solo exhibition SPECTRA for the SALA Festival this coming August.

Aggie’s process is a unique blend of randomness, thoughtful planning, and control, resulting in hypnotising abstract florals with bold, vibrant colour palettes.

With her unique artistic vision and dedication to her craft, Aggie is sure to captivate audiences with her vibrant and thought-provoking creations.

We are thrilled to have Aggie’s artwork fill our space with warmth and energy, pop in sometime and you will be sure to see Aggie busy painting and playing in her new studio in the entrance foyer of the theatre.
