Goodwood Theatre & Studios is proud to be part of the Adelaide Fringe, a festival that truly celebrates bold, diverse, and innovative artistry. Thanks to the incredible support of the City of Unley, Fringe Fund and Arts Unlimited we’ve been able to cultivate a dynamic, inclusive, and accessible space where artists feel empowered to experiment, create, and share their work with new audiences.
The support we’ve received has not only elevated our venue’s visibility and vibrancy but has also fostered deeper community connections, sparked creative collaborations, and provided opportunities for exciting future partnerships with artists from across South Australia, the nation, and beyond.
What an incredible season! We still can’t believe we pulled this off!
Little Reid Theatre

This year, Goodwood Theatre & Studios delivered our biggest and most successful Adelaide Fringe season yet, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from our community, artists, and audiences. We expanded from two to three venues with the creation of Little Reid Theatre, an intimate 20-seat space dedicated to the late Kerry Reid. This bold new addition became an instant success, offering emerging artists and grassroots theatre companies an accessible space to experiment, create, and thrive.
We received incredible feedback on this new venue, including:
“The hidden gem here is really the newly created Little Reid Theatre at The Goodwood Theatre. This 24-seat room is cosy and intimate whilst having heaps of floor space for performers.” – Stuart C
And this glowing review for An Incomplete Encyclopedia of Hugs:
“As soon as you enter the tiny space, you feel as though you have arrived in a secret place where you will be trusted with the character’s innermost emotions and private musings.” – Nicole F

Our 2025 program was a perfectly curated mix of international, national, and local productions, with a strong focus on theatre, physical theatre, and visual arts. The results spoke for themselves—exceptional artists, packed-out performances, glowing reviews, and multiple award-winning shows.
A standout review for Kinder said:
“What follows is an explosion of energy, a howl of rage against the darkness that is packed with ideas and push-back. In a world where books are routinely banned and burned, how can anyone reading to your children be wrong? Have we learned nothing from our history? (Seeing this show back-to-back with NIUSIA’s exploration of the life of a Holocaust survivor adds an extra layer of meaning; brilliant programming from Goodwood Theatre.) This is theatre of ideas, and as such, every detail is perfect: from music to dance to costume (Goody Prostate’s idea of dress-down day really does have to be seen to be believed).”

Catalyst & Victoria Lane

Hart Street Art kicked off its 2025 season with a vibrant and unforgettable celebration of community, creativity, and connection. The world premiere of CATALYST, a community-focused art exhibition and immersive experience, took centre stage at Goodwood Theatre & Studios, setting the tone for an inspiring year ahead.
Presented by Hart Street Art, CATALYST showcased the work of local emerging artists Charlotte Meekins, Krystal Cave, Olivia Gloss and Aggie Stav. Spanning three generations, these artists explore themes of mental health, mindfulness, and mediation through innovative, interactive installations. Each artwork blends diverse media forms to create an inclusive, accessible experience that re-engages the community with art as a healing practice.
The opening night on Tuesday, February 18, was a sold-out success. An electrifying evening filled with energy, creativity, and community spirit. The iconic Victoria Lane was transformed into a Fringe Festival hotspot, animated by the work of the CATALYST Artist Collective.
Attendees were treated to live performances by emerging artists DJ Marley Love, UK award-winning sensation Dane Lukic, the hilarious Kalah Lovegrove, winner of the 2024 Deadly Comedy Festival and DJ Paul Fisher. The laneway atmosphere was electric, with attendees celebrating art, connection, and shared experience before and after a show.
The Power of Fringe & the Fringe Fund

Goodwood Theatre & Studios is deeply grateful to be part of an authentic arts festival like Adelaide Fringe. The generous support from the Fringe Fund has allowed us to create a dynamic, inclusive, and accessible venue where artists feel empowered to take risks, share bold new work, and connect with enthusiastic audiences.
As one audience member shared: “Coming to this theatre regularly will make you feel like part of a family. Simi and Chris, the owners, do a remarkable job of building relationships within the local community, especially with other small businesses. They curate a variety of innovative and interesting shows.” – Daniel G. Taylor
Why Adelaide Fringe Matters
Adelaide Fringe is more than just a festival—it’s a powerful platform that gives artists the freedom to take risks, push boundaries, and bring bold new ideas to life. It creates a space where diverse voices are heard, where emerging talents can thrive, and where audiences can experience the magic of live performance in all its raw, unfiltered power.
“The support we receive through the Fringe Fund and Arts Unlimited is invaluable—it fuels creativity, strengthens artistic careers, and ensures that independent artists have the resources they need to connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impact on audiences and the wider arts community” - Simone Avramidis, Artistic Director - Goodwood Theatre & Studios
